PROJECT 5 - TRAM ROAD
Our design for the Tram Road residence was inspired by traditional and modern elements. The client asked for a contemporary take on the traditional, Farmhouse style. To achieve this we incorporated Shaker style cabinetry throughout with a fresh and modern colour palette. Resene - Triple Sea Fog was used on the back wall cabinetry and Resene - Avalanche was used on the kitchen Island for depth and contrast. The end of the Island features a ‘cross’ timber detail, as a nod to the Farmhouse style. The benchtop is fabricated out of Corian, in the colour - Valante Grigio, and waterfalls into a curve, adding a modern touch. The Laundry/Mud Room was designed to be functional while still maintaining the traditional style of the home. The Shaker style cabinetry in Resene - Half Stack perfectly complements the Calacatta Nuvo benchtop. The space includes a double butler’s sink and plenty of open storage for shoes and baskets, making it both practical and beautiful.
